PETER FOESTERS | 3D ABSTRACT ART
“I try not to repeat myself in technique and shape, and I constantly try to invent new creative styles.
As a result, I’m never satisfied with completing my work; I usually think about the next one while working on one artwork. That can be frustrating sometimes, but it does help me to keep an open mind.” – Peter Foesters
Belgien Artist Peter Foesters, (B. 1968) works in a unique technique and creates third-dimensional Contemporary Urban Abstract.
Depth is significant to him, and he expresses it with a gradient of bright flow colors, which through the years, became his trademark. He aims to express the beauty of destruction and is mainly influenced by music, lyrics, urban architectural buildings, and landscapes. Artists like Klein, Hockney, Warhol, Lichtenstein, and Basquiat have also significantly influenced his work. Foesters sees a certain beauty in all ugliness and creates works of art that bring to life the colorful illusion through his unique 3D technique.
Peter Foesters graduated from the art academy in Genk, Belgium, in 1992; he then continued to the film world, combining it with painting on canvas. Since 2005, his technique has developed in the Abstract art area, from painting on canvas to carving shapes with a knife until, in 2012, he reached his own unique artistic style, a particular 3D method, using polystyrene and epoxy on canvas.
In the past ten years, Foesters exhibited his work in numerous Solo and group exhibitions, including a solo exhibition at the Bel-Art gallery in Paal in Belgium, a group exhibition at the Duo expo Tongeren, and a group expo in Duffel.
In addition, his work has been published in international Art magazines, including Curatorial Magazine and Spotlight Magazine, and an exclusive interview was published in the International Art Market Magazine in January issue #66, 2022.
