Dita Jacobovitz lives and breath landscape.
she lives in a rural area where she is inspired.
Jacobovitz is a graduate of the Technion, Israel’s Institute of Technology, where she studied at the Computer Science faculty. Over the years she had participated in several art workshops by artists such as Rafi Schneider, Marlene Ferrer, Sigal Tsabari and Aram Gershuni.
Jacobovitz participated in single and group exhibitions in various galleries in Israel and Italy.
In Italy, she participated in a group exhibition at Villa Monastero Museum, with the last exhibition being held at Bellano near Lake Como.
In the last few years, her paintings’ themes’ mostly revolved around local landscapes. Jacobovitz lives in a Community Village in the lower Galilee region in Israel. “Painting is an ongoing process”, she points out; “my process combines colored sketches in Gouache with oil paintings”.
To Jacobovitz, “painting is like an endless search and exploration of landscape”. She says she often gets “lost in these endless landscapes”, but usually finds her way back to reality when the session is over.
During the past year she had expanded her skills and painted a mural based on one of her latest landscape artwork at the Computer Science department of the Technion.
