“Throughout our lives, we work to create. Mainly with the wish of finding happiness. While our organism, like the breathing lungs works just to keep us alive. Any intention can be called work out of a desire to achieve expression and quality.
But to create something, you have to minimize yourself to the here and now, and that’s a nice place with a lot of space. So my work springs from a place of peace created with the intention to effect joy in the viewer. Which should encourage you to take a deep breath. And when I try to get to the bottom of my need to paint, I can find my immense attraction to the smell of the materials.
The smell of oil, spray, and turpentine. It smells like a lifestyle of freedom.”
