Five Must-See Artists at Artexpo New York
The 46th annual edition of Artexpo New York takes place at Pier 36 at 299 South Street in Manhattan from Thursday, March 30 to Sunday, April 2, commencing with the Opening Night VIP Preview today starting at 5:00 p.m. Each subsequent day of the fair opens to the public at 11:00 a.m., starting on Friday, March 31.
The annual fine art destination will host more than 200 innovative exhibiting galleries, art publishers, dealers, and artists from around the world across 70,000 square feet of uninterrupted convention space. Artexpo New York showcases the original and progressive work of 1000+ artists that, includes prints, paintings, drawings, sculptures, photography, ceramics, giclee, lithographs, and glass works, among other contemporary and fine art.
Here are five must-see artists exhibiting at Artexpo New York this year.
Ukrainian artist, Yaryna Yuryk
Samir Sammoun of Sammoun Fine Art invites one of Ukraine’s most prominent and acclaimed artists to this year’s Artexpo New York. Lviv National Art Gallery has honored Yaryna Yuryk, who was the Associate Professor of the Department of Design and Fundamentals of Architecture at the National University Lvivska Politechnika as well as an artist in her own right.
Her watercolor works from the series “My Ukraine” and “Creation” have been presented at the Grand Palais National Museum in Paris, the Latin American Memorial in Sao Paulo, and during Art Week in Miami. However, the artist’s first exhibition occurred at the National Museum in Lviv when she was 23 years old. Yaryna Yuryk founded the modern cordocentesis worldview for watercolor painting in Ukraine, and her paintings are held in private collections worldwide.

Alex Shabatinas
Represented by Artios Gallery in New York, Alex Shabatinas was born in the city of Kaunas, Lithuania. He has been living in New York City since 1999. Alex is internationally renowned, and his oil-on-canvas works have been purchased by private collectors all around the world, including H.R.H. King Charles of England, former President of the United States Ronald Reagan, and the last General Secretary of the U.S.S.R., Mikhail Gorbachev. In addition, the artist’s works were presented at Sotheby’s Internet Art Auction, where he sold fifty-one paintings.

Cliff Lee
Austrian-born Cliff Lee came into prominence in 1993 when he was invited to contribute a piece of his work to the White House Collection of American Crafts. Two years later, his porcelain work was in the permanent collection of the Smithsonian American Art Museum’s Renwick Gallery. Lee’s -Prickly Melons’ with imperial yellow glaze took him 17 years to create and caught the eye of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, which acquired a pair for its permanent collection – a rare distinction for a living artist.

United Kids For Ukraine
United Kids For Ukraine is an international, self-funded charity organization supporting Ukrainian refugee children and teenagers, founded by two dedicated Ukranian women, Masha Zolotova and Katrina Bila. Originally founded in 2009 in Odesa, the charity supports more than 600 children, some of whom were evacuated to Austria after the current war in Ukraine began. The long-term vision is to develop a safe and creative platform that supports talented young Ukrainian artists all over the world, both online and offline, through UnitedKids.art. Additionally, the group of volunteers develops creative therapies for Ukrainian children in need, as well as a safe environment for Ukrainian women.

Onur Can Özdemir
Represented by ACT Contemporary in Paris, Onur Can Özdemir was born in Ankara, Turkey, and graduated with a visual communication design degree from the Ohio State University, where he also studied philosophy. His oil-on-canvas artworks portray powerful, complex expressions and micro-expressions. Onur is a world traveler, and his travels have exposed him to different cultures, people, and customs. His subjects are from different cultures, ethnicities, and understandings. His artworks have been exhibited numerously in international art exhibitions, and on his popular social media channels, one of his videos has been viewed more than 13 million times.

The Opening Night VIP Preview for Artexpo New York takes place on Thursday, March 30, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The fair continues for the public and trade on Friday, March 31, through Sunday, April 2, with advance tickets priced at $30 for daily general admission. A multi-day advance purchase ticket with access from Thursday, March 30, to Sunday, April 2, is priced at $75.
