“I use photography as a means of self-expression and my choice of subject comes from my own intuition. My artwork focuses on nature, still life, and portraits.
I am inspired to capture the contrasts of light and darkness, always searching for moments of light within the shadows.
When I photograph people, I am keen to unveil their inner world. The uncertainty associated with photographing people is exciting and often reveals some incredible insights. The audience is given a glimpse into their hidden thoughts, complexities and their inner beauty, as I allow them to unfold a part of themselves in a free and easy way. My photography enables me to give something of myself as I always look for subtle differences and creative angles to make my work unique.
“My still life work began with an exploration of stillness and silence. It has since evolved into this still life series. The objects in my work display movement without motion through a dance of light and shadows, expressing themselves in thoughtful silence.”
