Kevin Slaby, a talented realism figurative painter originally from Nebraska, focuses on capturing women’s strength and beauty in his art. His work often features women depicted in imaginative and surreal settings, showcasing his unique style and technique.

Growing up in the Midwest USA, Kevin enjoyed the freedom of a rural childhood. His early hobbies included motorcycle and auto racing, but his passion for traveling abroad emerged as he matured. During these travels, Kevin developed an appreciation for collecting art, which eventually inspired him to explore his artistic abilities.

Kevin’s desire to express himself artistically as his art collection grew led him to experiment with photography. This exploration allowed him to conceptualize images that were challenging to capture with a camera, ultimately leading him to transition to painting.

By blending elements of photography with his vivid imagination, Kevin meticulously brings his artistic vision to life on canvas. His focus on the strength and beauty of women is evident in the fine details of his brushstrokes, creating depth and life in his captivating images. Kevin’s exceptional talent was recognized when all four of his entries made it to the Semi-Finalist round in the 2022 ARC Salon international contest, with one of his entries reaching the Finalists Round in two separate categories.

In 2023, his painting was featured on the March cover of The Guide Artists, leading to further recognition when his work was showcased in 365 Art+ magazine later that year.
The year 2024 brought more well-deserved recognition for Kevin, as he was voted into the International Guild of Realism (IGOR), and his piece, “Steam Alley,” won Best of Show at the first exhibition of the year at the prestigious T.H. Brennen Fine Art in Scottsdale, Arizona, USA.

Kevin Slaby currently resides in Lincoln, Nebraska, USA, where he continues to create awe-inspiring artwork that resonates with audiences worldwide.
