“The role of art is to bring harmony, beauty and positive energy to the world ” – Lika Ramati
Lika Ramati, multidisciplinary artist, a photographer and a designer use camera and computer manipulations to create internal puzzles of her inner world.
The concepts of womanly beauty, the goddess, coexistence, femininity, strength and power of the female have been plaited as the themes of Ramati’s vision.
Lika digitally constructs highly stylized worlds full of harmony and beauty rich with ambiance and steeped with brooding sensuality. Bizarre and full of obscure significance
The artist utilizes heavily costumed self or models portraiture and with a process of layering and enveloping creates fantasy worlds and telling a story both realistic and virtual.
In the late 1980’s, Ramati studied fashion design at Shenkar College of Engineering and Design in Israel before relocating to New York City’s East Village where she quickly became a well-known personality within the scene.
Artistic language of Lika Ramati based on innovative techniques of Print photos on different textures. Her creativity has no limits – and corresponds with European classical images from, gothic, baroque and Renaissance sources. Influenced by architecture, spirituality, cinema, big cities and classical music.
So her art is not afraid to show beauty and paint it in bright colors. ” Digital Art is not a dirty word, ” says Ramati “because it allows the use of new mediums and make art available to the general public.” I got a gift for proportion , aesthetics and beauty. My visual language is to create images of powerful women (not a sexual object who sell something).”
The works of Lika Ramati are female art in all its glory: they present questions about the place of woman in the world, in society and as an unlimited source of eternal wisdom.
Everywhere she turns she mixes unique contemporary pop and Tradition.
Beauty and spirituality is actually her artistic portrait.
