Luba describes her fascination with painting as a result of a fascination with life:
“I love the people I paint and depict.
I communicate with the sitters, and in the process of drawing, I see their personality and understand more and more who it is that I am painting. Of course, there is much psychology in this process… but I’d like to think the enjoyment is mutual. In addition to portraits, I like to paint still life, landscapes, and graphic works. I just see the beauty of this world, and it inspires me.”
