MIRI BARUCH | THE ENJOYABLE PROCESS OF ABSTRACT ART
Miri Baruch, an Israeli-based artist, who initially worked as a process engineer at Intel company for twenty-seven years, has made a bold shift in her life and became a professional painter in 2016.
Painting has always been her most profound passion. Her artistic style is abstract and figurative-modern, which she developed through studies at the house of artists in Tel Aviv, followed by several oil painting workshops.
Miri is an intuitive abstract painter.
Her workflow starts with random strokes, which gives her inspiration on how to proceed next.
At first, the shapes seem random, but layer by layer, they start to connect and make sense. This is the most challenging and satisfying step because the artist gets to experience and see how the chaos starts to rebuild and form a new meaning. She uses brushes, spatulas, and sponges for creating textures and shapes, and in her workflow, she loves to combine all the tools as each one has a different role and allows her to create different shapes. Finally, of course, the title of the painting comes naturally to her mind at the last stage of the workflow.
Miri has exhibited in Israel and internationally, including two solo exhibitions in Israel, group exhibitions in New York, and a special show for digital artworks in Italy. She is preparing for the upcoming future exhibition “Crystal Silence” exhibition organized by Galleria Azur in Madrid in Dec 2022.
In addition, her work has been published in international publications around the globe.
