“I am trying to collaborate in the framework of local (and other) cultural traditions and to make new anticipations into the system of global presentiments of the modern individual.” – Stanislav Bojankov
STANISLAV BOJANKOV | EXPLORING THE GLOBAL THROUGH THE LOCAL
Bojankov is an experienced Bulgarian artist who has internationally exhibited his work since the 1990s. Graduated from the Academia de Arte Frumoase Jan Matejko, Poland, with an M.F.A. degree, he has since worked in the Studio of Prof. Andrzej Pietsc and as a professional painter a graphic designer.
He has participated in over 400 exhibitions worldwide; he has gained international prizes, honored Mentions and Diplomas, including The Pollock-Krasner Foundation Grant in the U.S.A, and a respectable award from the American Art Awards, Hollywood, LA in the Cubism category.
Bojankov’s works of art are in private collections of significant, influential figures around the globe. In addition, his work can be found in museum collections, including in Poland, Bulgaria, Romania, Croatia, Belgium, Malaysia, Egipt, Kazakhstan, U.S.A., Taiwan, Turkey, Macedonia, Greece, Italy, Serbia, Spain, Bosnia, and Herzegovina.
Stanislav Bojankov-Stanko achieves complete harmony between poetic vision and tangible objects in his work. Through art, he transfers drawing into different elite dimensions of space. The new Euclids optic, which the artist opposes against the present and future secrets, is like an insight into the fantastic architecture of matter and time. Perhaps this is where Ariadna’s invisible string of fate starts to uncoil through the labyrinth toward the soul of ideal humanity…
Through his artistic expression, Bojankov aims to explore presentiments of the modern individual – Ego, history, and existence, and their evolution into recognizable symbols and codes. His resulting abstract paintings are busy, colorful, and thought-provoking.

Landscaping on jazz
Landscaping on jazz…
A search of the characteristic color ranges, sounds, and nuances in which abstract, reality-free music is dressed … The other is an instantaneous emotion, recreated and freely improvised through spontaneous – sincere gestures of subjective sensitivity and expression …
Landscaping on jazz – improvisations built on the laws of free composition with the characteristic, like a “jam session” correlation of various picturesque (musical) materials, reliefs and sounds, creating a unique atmosphere, moods and image suggestions, associative in nature, and located in a wider range of emotions and sensations… Such as can only be foreseen in an abstract context – whether visual or musical. In other words, it is an attempt to compose and visualize “complete freedom” through the only path to it – the path of free intuitive improvisation.
Through his artistic expression, he aims to explore presentiments of the modern individual – Ego, history, and existence, and their evolution into recognizable symbols and codes. His resulting abstract paintings are busy, colorful, and thought-provoking.”

The Nocturne series
The watercolors from the Nocturne series are small-size artworks, ethereal compositions inspired by Chopin’s music, constructed in the style of free improvisation, with a love of beauty, like short musical fragments filled with emotional spontaneity, love of sincerity, and tenderness of form. This is an expression of a spiritual approach to Chopin’s “aura.”
I remember the weekend I visited (as a student at the Krakow Academy of Arts) the small castle in central Poland, Chopin’s birthplace.
I saw, heard, and cherished. I had the good fortune to experience many Sunday concerts performed by pianists from all over the world. Performances in the family garden, playing his piano at a place full of harmony, peace, and beauty. The music covered meadows, trees, and a romantic idyll in memories and emotional depots of the soul. Forever and eternal.

THE ARTISTIC CONCEPT
The horizon of the existence of phenomena – thought, time, and space – in which the echo of the individual’s traces of existence is one with the necessity. To be with that which is distant yet primary is identified with The Roots.
The Roots – prehistory, classical antiquity, the enigma of voices and incantations, existentialism, music, arts, and nature; the Ego as a particle of matter, scattered amongst the romantic autonomy of the fatherland, reveal a particular visualization, one of a feeling of unity amongst the collective perceptions and their comprehension.
