Vasil Vasilev – Vaso | Objects’ Spiritual Essence
“My art research delves into the intricate interplay of color, composition, and the expressive potential of paints and embossing paste in manipulating the line and volume of forms. I find inspiration in the beauty of everyday objects, discovering their profound significance when observed closely. What truly captivates me is the rich history concealed within the layers of a painting’s creation. Revealing these layers in my work adds a distinctive depth and complexity, making each piece unique.
When creating art, I strive to connect my thoughts and emotions with the physical act of painting, immersing myself completely. I am fascinated by exploring objects’ spiritual essence and intangible presence in the mind, often discernible only with time and contemplation. The presence of color resonates deeply within my soul. Each encounter with color brings forth a distinct and unique essence, a powerful reflection of my emotions and inner self.”
