ZAHAVA LUPU | MUSIC. COLOR. INSPIRATION
“My paintings are my truth as I see and know it.
My work is built on music and color intertwined by voices, whispers, and touch, and I hope the viewers of my paintings can join in this personal journey.” -Zahava Lupu, 2022
Zahava Lupu is an artist based in Israel. She graduated from the Academy of Music and the Avni Institute of art design in Tel Aviv. Her original abstract oil paintings can be found in many private and public collections and have been widely exhibited worldwide, including in exhibitions in Germany, Egypt, Austria, the United States, France, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Turkey.
Lupu’s paintings entwine music with color and draw Inspiration from nature, human feelings, senses, beliefs, femininity, hidden tensions, and endless hope for peace.
“The visual representation of Zahava Lupu’s work does not need to be “screamed” to be heard. The refined texture and the learned language make these works real masterpieces free from external conditioning, destined to stay over time. In the representation, a great feeling is transformed into an ecstasy of the psyche. The reality in the artist’s works becomes crude and has no fear of showing truths driven by creative energy as an engine, which is the fundamental characteristic of Lupu’s works – energy expressed by significant gestures and strokes.” – Salvatore Russo, Curator
