Izmir-born artist Zümrüt Özmen is a painter and an Art History teacher.
She first exhibited her work in 1981 in a Solo exhibition at the Izmir Museum of Arts & Sculpture.
Later on, in 1983, she collaborated with the painter Fahir Aksoy and opened an Art House for unique Group exhibitions, which she also curated.
In addition, she has been a founding member of the graduates’ association and has worked at the Izmir Art Biennial Scientific Committee in 2013-2021.
Besides being a teacher for the history of art and painting in the past fifteen years, she has also exhibited her work in countless exhibitions around the globe, including at the Selcuk Efes Museum in 1996, at the XVII İnter-art Aiud Romania İnternational Symposium in 2012, at the South Korea Peace Museum in 2015 among many solo exhibitions around the globe.
