Zvika Horesh was born in 1968 in Jerusalem. his uniqueness as an artist and as a designer is characterized by his ability to bring to the creative process his talent and experience in a variety of work mediums. Product design, architectural design, drawing, sculpture, photography, proficiency in graphic computer mediums, all of these together, allow him to create art out of inspirational creative space. In his works, the artist directs graphic scenarios layered with the techniques of painting on canvas, digital print, collage and photography. The artist moves across the spectrum between New Media methods and more veteran methods in New Media in visual arts – painting and sculpturing.
Zvika Horesh’s works of art are inspired by the Pop Art and Street Art. These types of work are characterized by intense bursts of color, typographic content, and dominant color strokes where the main objects are assimilated in scenarios of color, and maintain a harmonious symbiosis with the accompanying graphic objects.
The first exhibition “RIDE WITH THE WIND” was first presented together with the famous international artist Dudu Gershtein in 2010 at the Gershtein gallery in Tel Aviv.
The exhibition displayed 50 of the artists’ works of sculptures and paintings. The works illustrated the beauty, aesthetics, perseverance, determination and strength of the group together for the cause of sacrifice and giving.
The exhibition received great interest among collectors and cyclist groups in Israel. All of the exhibition’s proceeds were given to the Alin hospital in Jerusalem, a hospital for sick children, victims of hostilities, Palestinians and Jews alike.
In these days the solo exhibition “RIDE WITH THE WIND” is being displayed in Redtory – Contemporary Art Gallery in China – Guangzhou and in galleries in Macao & Beijing in honor of 25 years of diplomatic relations between the Chines and the Israeli nationals.
The artist was reordered by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Israel in Guangzhou and displayed more than 40 works As an artist. Horesh handles with the modern urban culture by making it an object of that gives a representation and expression to the social and cultural trends, processes in a wide range and the various subjects that draw inspiration from the urban terrain.
The art works address to the collective awareness, to the experience which is an integral part of the process of life and environment.
The artist attaches great importance to aesthetic pleasure for its own sake, since as Immanuel Kant wrote, the beauty of the beautiful things is not a private matter, their beauty is due to the experience and emotional pleasure that they create.
