Developed in collaboration with the artist, the inaugural collection brings museum‑quality representations of selected sculptures directly to collectors. Cuban-born sculptor Enrique Gomez de Molina, whose work has been exhibited through galleries including Bernice Steinbaum Gallery and Arthur Roger Gallery, is internationally known for creating fantastical hybrid creatures that combine elements of birds, mammals, reptiles, and insects into surreal works exploring environmental loss, biodiversity, and the vulnerability of species while examining the tension between beauty, fantasy, and unease.
With its elaborate, self‑displaying posture, Narcissist plays on vanity and spectacle, asking whether our fascination with beauty can coexist with the damage we inflict on the natural world.

Reflecting on the ideas behind his work, Gomez de Molina has said,
“The impossibility of my sculpture brings me both joy and sadness at the same time. The joy comes from seeing and experiencing the fantasy of the work, but that is coupled with the sadness of the fact that we as a species are destroying all of these beautiful things.”

Reinterpreting the classical motif through a hybrid animal form, Birth of Venus reimagines beauty as something both fragile and uncanny in an era of ecological disruption.

Works in the launch collection will be available to collectors in the United States via direct purchase through the Chimera & Co. website, with future phases planned for subsequent expansion. The inaugural release will include 14 distinct images based on previously created sculptures by Gomez de Molina, offered as archival high-quality art prints in 11×14, 16×20, and 18×24‑inch formats, and as premium gallery‑wrapped canvas works in 12×16, 16×20, 18×24, and 24×36‑inch sizes. The inaugural release draws from the artist’s broader body of sculptural work, with future releases expected to expand the catalog through additional collectible pieces.
