“New Vulcan factory” is a creative endeavor of authors from all over the world to create collaborative digital works.
The idea is by Rosen Stanoev. The name is a reference to Andy Warhol’s “Factory” and the legendary “Vulcan” factory, where 70 studios of Varna artists were located from 1975 to 2000. “New Vulcan factory” was created in 2023.

Inspired by the graphic traditions of the time and intertwined with the picturesque vitality of color, “New Vulcan factory” seeks a contemporary, intuitively close language of communication with the audience, using digital methods as a tool. An idea initiated and realized by Rosen Stanoev, it clearly reflects the desire for dialogicity through a symbiotic synthesis between different artists and works.
In combinatory rhetoric, the works of Rosen Stanoev are united with those of Rado Galaganov, Nedelcho Kuchkov, and Prof. Viktor Seprian Cortes, assuming a common, synchronous sonority.

Rossen Stanoev

Rossen Stanoev is a Bulgarian multidisciplinary artist whose practice spans painting, printmaking, sculpture, digital art, collage, and photography. Born in Varna, Bulgaria, in 1958, he has dedicated more than four decades to artistic creation while simultaneously serving as a curator, gallerist, collector, and cultural organizer. A member of the Union of Bulgarian Artists and the Association of Varna Artists,

Stanoev has participated in over 300 national and international exhibitions, biennials, and art projects across Europe, Asia, and the Americas. His work is distinguished by its synthesis of graphic precision, expressive color, and contemporary visual language, resulting in compositions that balance technical mastery with poetic imagination.

In 2023, he founded the creative association New Vulcan Factory, an international collaborative platform that brings together artists from diverse disciplines to create innovative digital and mixed-media works through dialogue and creative exchange. Today, Rossen Stanoev continues to live and work in Varna, Bulgaria, where he remains an influential figure in both artistic practice and cultural development.
Throughout his career, Rossen Stanoev has presented his work in more than 300 collective exhibitions, international biennials, art fairs, and museum projects worldwide, including exhibitions in Italy, Spain, Germany, Austria, Romania, Turkey, Japan, South Korea, Thailand, Argentina, Canada, the Netherlands, and Bulgaria. He has also held more than fifty solo exhibitions showcasing his diverse artistic practice.

His works are represented in numerous museums, institutional, and private collections internationally, including the Rochester Contemporary Art Center (USA), the International Museum of Contemporary Art MIDAC (Italy), the Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennale Collection (Japan), and major collections throughout Europe, Asia, and North America.

The picturesque brushstroke, on the other hand, introduces us as if to a different creative personality, who richly models, through a fragmentary spot and a thin, in places almost invisible line. In sculpture and small sculpture, we reveal a different light angle of creative search. Restrained, self-contained form, almost minimalistically generalized in its imagery, but generous in content. Individual sonority distinguishes each of Rosen Stanoev’s works, categorizing a unique approach to work and the recognizability of handwriting.”

Throughout 2025 and 2026, Rossen Stanoev’s work has been featured in a wide range of international exhibitions and biennials, reinforcing his position within the contemporary art scene.

Recent presentations include the XXI Ventipertrenta International Digital Art Festival at the MIDAC Museum in Italy, the International Art Exhibition Miniprints Asolo, the POMO VI International Art Exhibition, and the 6th International Art Exhibition at Kastamonu University in Turkey, the XIII FORUM Small Graphic Forms in Sofia, the X Intercontinental Biennial of Small Graphics in Romania, and the International Printmaking Exhibition “Printday in May” in Bangkok. His works have also been exhibited in Argentina, North Macedonia, and Ukraine, as well as across Bulgaria, reflecting a sustained international dialogue spanning digital art, printmaking, sculpture, and experimental visual practices.

Stanoev’s artistic achievements have been recognized with numerous international awards, particularly in digital and contemporary art.
Among his distinctions are First Prize at the International Digital Art Festival Ventipertrenta (Italy) in 2022, 2023, and 2025, Second Prize at the same festival in 2021 and 2024, a Bronze Award at the Superior Culture Annual Painting Competition in Hong Kong, and the Award for 40 Years of Artistic Career presented by the Cultural Association “Narda Martínez Pittrice” in Italy.
Through New Vulcan Factory, Stanoev has further expanded his creative vision by fostering collaborative artistic production, earning international recognition for innovative digital projects that unite artists across countries, generations, and disciplines while exploring new possibilities for contemporary visual expression.
