The Goddesses Of Light
By Haïfa Melliti
“Through these feminine figures, I explore a universe in which painting, music, cultural heritage, and emotion converge. Each Goddess carries her own presence and story, surrounded by recurring symbols such as birds, moons, protective eyes, hands, flowers, flames, and musical elements.
My Mediterranean and Tunisian roots naturally inhabit the series through its colors, symbols, and sense of memory and transmission. The Goddesses are not portraits of specific women; they represent universal feminine figures, carrying messages of peace, love, freedom, and cross-cultural connection.

Music is also deeply connected to this body of work. As an intuitive pianist, I often experience painting and melody as two parts of the same creative language. A melody can inspire a painting, just as colors and forms can awaken music within me.
Through The Goddesses of Light, I seek to create a poetic and timeless world where every woman can recognize a part of herself and reconnect with her own inner light.
Each painting is a story. Each Goddess carries a light. Each melody gives her a voice.”

Haïfa Melliti
Haïfa Melliti is a self-taught Franco-Tunisian painter and intuitive pianist whose multidisciplinary practice brings together painting, music, femininity, cultural heritage, and transmission.
Her artistic universe is centered around female figures she calls her “Goddesses.” Through vibrant colors and recurring symbolic elements, her works explore inner beauty, freedom, light, peace, memory, and women’s strength. Her Mediterranean and Tunisian roots are an important source of inspiration, creating a dialogue between contemporary artistic expression and cultural heritage.

Music is inseparable from her artistic practice. Haïfa paints as she plays the piano: intuitively, allowing emotion and sensitivity to guide each gesture. Her paintings and melodies respond to one another, creating a distinctive universe in which image and sound become two expressions of the same inner language.
Her work has been presented through international artistic projects, exhibitions, publications, and interviews. In 2026, her paintings were exhibited in Rome, Italy, while her artistic journey and creative philosophy have also been featured in international art publications and interviews.
Alongside her painting practice, Haïfa has released her original intuitive piano compositions, including “Mélodie de la Déesse,” extending the universe of her paintings into music.
She is currently developing new international projects connecting art, women, music, and heritage, including an artistic immersion in a historic residence in the Medina of Tunis, where her Goddesses will enter into dialogue with Tunisian architecture, history, and culture.
